Arrests Made in Stradivarius Theft: III people were caught for stealing an passee fiddle worth nearly $ 2 million a musician of international fame when she stopped for a snack in a sandwich bar in British capital, the Associated Press reported Friday. South Korean violinist Min-Jin Kym ate a sandwich outside Euston Station on Nov. 29 when she noticed that his black violin case - containing a precious Stradivarius and two bows - was missing, according to the police.

The violin, built in 1696, is one of the four hundred made by Stradivari which are yet recognized. Police caught and charged John Maughan, twenty-six, and 2 teenagers on Wednesday. The names of the young, 16 and 14 years were not included in the news because of British law. Mr. Maughan is in custody and two teenagers on bail. The instrument hasn't til now been recovered and an insurance company has offered a reward for any information. Ms. Kym, who is 32, began playing the violin at 6, made his international debut with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra when she was 13 and played with other leading orchestras.
