Rob Cosgrove, founder and CEO of Remote Backup Systems, built the first remote backup system using scripts and FTP to send the hospitals’ data from telephones modems to an offsite computer. According to The Online Backup Guide for Service Providers, a lightning storm struck the prenatal small Netware Server destroying its critical data.
